Artist In Residence Program
We’re turning our commercial space into a free gallery space for local artists & creators.
WHAT WE’RE DOING
As the market for commercial retail remains in flux, it's important for us to re-evaluate how to use our space during this time. We’ve made the decision to prioritize impact before profit and convert our commercial & gallery space in North Philadelphia into a community space for local artists for the remainder of 2020.
Artists and creators can exhibit their work for a 2-4 week rental period at no cost and retain 100% of any revenues generated during the time.
To qualify, potential candidates must fill out the form below and participate in a 15 minute virtual interview session. The artist’s work must fit within our basic set of guidelines.
DATES
Applications open up on 8/10/20. The program runs from 9/1/20 - 12/31/20 and may be extended based on a variety of metrics.
THE SPACE
Located on West Tioga Street in Nicetown-Tioga, our first floor retail space has excellent curb appeal and a modern lobby area. It is conveniently located one block from Broad Street/Temple Medical Campus and features great natural light, exposed brick and adequate electrical outlets. The secured building with keyless entry provides peace of mind and comes with a basement area that can be used for storage, supplies and staging.
